ANAHEIM, Calif.—Lojack Supply Chain Integrity, a company that provides a total integrated solution for supply chain protection, from information sharing and analysis to investigative intelligence to covert monitoring and recovery, announced at ASIS, held here, it had formed a strategic partnership with NC4, a company that provides situational awareness tools to empower government and businesses with accurate, timely and secure information to manage uncertainty in the supply chain. The partnership will provide an even depth of vital, real-time information to Lojack SCI customers.

Under the terms of the partnership, LoJack SCI will integrate NC4’s External Situational Awareness (ESA) incident monitoring service into its SC-ISAC, the only government-sanctioned Supply Chain Information Sharing and Analysis Center. ESA will add focused, relevant incident alerts analyzed and reported by NC4’s Incident Monitoring Centers (NIMCs). These alerts will provide a greater depth of customized information on incidents occurring in specific geographies pertinent to SC-ISAC members.

Lojack SCI president and CEO Bob Furtado said the partnership results in more timely and actionable information and an increase in value for SC-ISAC members. “The ISAC brings to its members information that is related to supply chain threat, vulnerability, actionable information about known criminal activity and cargo theft and trends, bulletins, advisories on transportation regulations. We’ve got all kinds of information that we push out to our members,” Furtado said. “NC4 provides situational awareness and incident-level tracking on critical events that could impact users’ facilities, people, or their supply chain. So it brings to the members an additional layer of information on critical events that could disrupt, interfere with or threaten … It’s more information, and it’s real-time information.”

According a release from Lojack SCI, the SC-ISAC is the only source for information and analysis sanctioned by the government that helps the supply chain community and law enforcement agencies protect the supply chain from illegal and disruptive activities, such as theft, terrorism and natural disasters. The SC-ISAC plays a vital role in bringing together cross industry organizations that contribute to national infrastructure protection.
