Protect America now offers automated door lock

AUSTIN, Texas—Home security and automation provider Protect America now carries Yale Real Living brand Z-Wave door locks, the company announced Jan. 20.

“Imagine never being locked out of your home again,” said Scott Fleming, Protect America COO, in a prepared statement. “Homeowners can now lock and unlock their homes from anywhere with a smartphone. This really is the beginning of a digital lifestyle where everything is connected and much easier to operate.”

The locks integrate with Protect America’s wireless and integrative systems, according to the news release. Users employ passcodes to lock and unlock doors, but can also use keys and turn the codes on and off when needed.

Yale Real Living Z-Wave door locks are controllable through Protect America’s free smartphone app, “SMART Connect."
