OMAHA, Neb.--Adesta, a systems integrator, inked a $5.5 million contract with the Maryland Port Administration on Tuesday, Nov. 8, to design and install a surveillance system for the Port of Baltimore.
The security system will provide the port with scalable communications and an electronic security network. Adesta will also upgrade the port's perimeter security measures to include video analytics by VistaScape Security Systems.
The communications network at the port will include a wide area network with both wireless and fiber-optic links to merge the public terminals, which will support expansion of the security system for the future.
Adesta expects to complete the project by fall 2006.
