ADT Canada's new president starts today Andrea Martin to accelerate growth in Canada, oversee Protectron integration

BOCA RATON, Fla.—Andrea Martin begins her new job as president, ADT Canada today. ADT, based here, announced Martin's appointment to this newly created role on Jan. 8.

Charged with accelerating growth in the Canadian market, ADT said that Martin will also lead the integration of ADT Canada and Protectron. ADT acquired Protectron last July.

Martin will be based in Montreal and report directly to ADT president and CEO Naren Gursahaney.

“Andrea has extensive experience managing large subscription-based businesses, and a track record of successfully growing and transforming global business units while also delivering a world-class customer experience,” Gursahaney said in a statement.

Martin joins ADT from Royal Mail in London where she served as managing director of Data Services. Prior to Royal Mail, Martin served as president and CEO of a Canadian life sciences company. Martin also spent more than 10 years of her career leading various international business units within Reader's Digest Association, Inc., and served as president and CEO of Reader's Digest Canada.

Martin holds a Bachelor in Commerce from Concordia University, as well as Advanced Executive Degrees from Queen's University and the University of Oxford Said Business School.
