VIENNA, Va.--More than 35 members of the Alarm Industry Communications Committee, comprising the Central Station Alarm Association, the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association and the Security Industry Association, visited Capitol Hill on Feb. 8.
Representatives of the security industry met with 40 members of the House and Senate Commerce Committees and their staffs to discuss issues facing the industry, and to request lawmakers' assistance in influencing the Federal Communication Commission to extend the AMPS, analog-cellular sunset provisions.
According to the CSAA, congressional members were considerably willing to help the alarm industry with these issues.
