Andrews gets more integrated, with D3 'Guard firm' continues to add technology sophistication

LOS ANGELES—Andrews International continues to add capabilities as it bills itself as a “full-service provider of security and risk mitigation services,” recently partnering with D3 Security Management Systems to offer more integrated solutions to its clients. The software solution, which comes in four levels of complexity, brings together guard management, incident management, and project management into one dashboard that Andrews provides on a software-as-a-service basis.

“We like it for the fact that it gives us clear visibility into our security operations,” said John Petruzzi, VP of operations and business development at Andrews. “We know where our folks are, they're getting real-time updates about the incidents that are happening in their environments ... it creates that reporting and dashboard type view of someone's risk posture.”

While Andrews isn't initially using it to bring in access control and CCTV data, “the APIs are there,” Petruzzi said. “If an access control company is willing to open up, the feeds can come in and be captured, from the CCTV and video environments, too.”

Most importantly, the monthly, even hourly, way the company can charge for the service allows Andrews' clients much more flexibility and keeps them with Andrews for the long term, Petruzzi said. “At the end of the day, we're all about partnerships,” he said. “If you look at the firm, we have one of the highest retention rates in the industry. Our stickiness with clients is there for a reason; our customer service levels are extremely high. For us, it's not about a vendor-type relationship.”
