APX hires new CFO Black

PROVO, Utah—APX Alarm announced on Jan. 12 it has hired a new CFO. Christopher Black, who is new to the security industry, has held a number of senior executive positions for emerging high-growth and mid-cap companies.
Most recently, Black was SVP and CFO for American Commercial Lines, Inc., a transportation company, where he helped lead the company to one of the most successful initial public offerings in the country during his tenure there.
“In Chris, we have partnered with an experienced CFO with the experience and skill necessary as we enter a new and exciting period of accelerated growth at APX Alarm,” said APX Alarm CEO, Todd Pedersen. “We believe his extensive business experience and strategic acumen will greatly benefit our organization moving forward.”
APX's hiring of Black comes on the heels of it's the recent opening of the company's campus and a credit facility.
