Arecont Vision busy with new hires, promotions

GLENDALE, Calif.—Arecont Vision, a provider of IP-based megapixel camera technology, on Nov. 18 introduced two new hires and two new promotions with the hirings of John Steen and Chris Sessa, and the promotions of Becky Zhou and Nathan Wheeler.

John Steen VP of strategic accounts. In this new position, Steen will be responsible for Arecont Vision's global distributor and system integrator business with a primary focus in the Americas.

Steen served for more than three years as national sales manager for Axis Communications. During that time he successfully developed and implemented aggressive sales and marketing plans that drove the company's network video products and services. Prior to joining Axis, Steen held engineering and sales management roles in the automatic identification and data capture industry.

Chris Sessa joins Arecont Vision as director of sales, North America—East with a territory including eastern Canada, eastern United States and the Caribbean. With more than eight years experience selling security and IT infrastructure to end-users and resellers, Sessa was previously the U.S. sales manager for Mobotix.

Becky Zhou has been promoted to Arecont Vision's director of sales, Asia Pacific with a territory that includes Southeast Asia, China and Japan. She began Arecont Vision's sales efforts in the Asia-Pacific region two years ago and has driven significant growth in her territory, especially in the past year.

Nathan Wheeler has been promoted to Arecont Vision's director of sales, North America—West with a territory that includes western United States and western Canada. Before his new appointment, Wheeler served as a consulting manufacturer's representative for Arecont Vision and then became Western U.S. sales manager in January 2008.
