BellSouth from Protection One on the move

PENSACOLA-, Fla.---It seems BellSouth just can't wait to get on the road again. For the third time this year, BellSouth Security Systems from Protection One will relocate an office to a larger facility. On August 2, the firm announced the relocation of its Pensacola, Fla., office within the city to 1209 Creighton Road. BellSouth Security Systems, a division of Protection One, moved its New Orleans and Miami operations to bigger offices in April and May, respectively. Protection One's business model changed from being dealer based to a full-service model over the past few years. As a result, additional room is needed for sales staff and other personnel to serve customers, as well as for showroom space and to accommodate future growth. In 2001, BellSouth from Protection One was formed as a partnership between the telecommunications company BellSouth and full-service security company Protection One. It offers security systems and services in nine states in the Southeast. Security Systems News in August reported that Protection One significantly reduced its outstanding debt since it was purchased by Quadrangle Group in 2004. At the same time, it has expanded its commercial and residential business. Moving and expanding branches is part of its growth overall strategy.
