COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--Bold Technologies, in the first of several new hires to be announced, appointed industry veteran Richard Wright to take over as senior sales executive. Wright's new position was created to help Bold further expand into the governmental, educational, corporate and retail verticals.
"We have a number of existing customers in those sectors, but we're at the stage where we're looking to rapidly expand into these markets with our new product, the Manitou Software Platform," said Bold Technologies president Rod Coles.
"No automation company in the States is putting in as many systems as we are," said Coles. "Richard's hire is the first of several moves you'll see from Bold to strengthen our sales team."
Wright, who was the director of sales at ABM Data Systems for three years prior to making the move to Bold, will be overseeing the proprietary alarm automation market.
Since assuming his new position in June, Wright said he has been informing his existing contacts about Bold's advanced offerings through Manitou software, which is Windows based.
"We're a Microsoft certified partner," he said. "That happened four to five months before I came on board, and we've also partnered with HID and integrated their VertX Access Control product. We're one of only three companies that has VertX integrated into our alarm monitoring software."
According to Coles, Wright will add muscle to their existing sales team.
"Richard's strengths are in education and government, so he can use his experience in those industries to push the product forward," said Coles. We've gotten to the stage where the software has been taken out of the central station environment, because it's fully integrated with access control, video, GPS ... It's more than just a traditional market."
Coles added that announcements of additional hires to the Bold sales team would be forthcoming by the year's end.
