AlarmForce announces record
TORONTO - AlarmForce Industries is celebrating the end of its 2004 fiscal year with a record number of new subscribers.

In November, the company announced that its new subscriber installations totaled 11,500 for the year ending Oct. 31, 2004.

The company still has more planned before the end of the year. It announced a plan to expand its business into the United States in July, and its first U.S.-based office is scheduled to open in Charlotte, N.C. by the end of the year.
Guardian Protection takes message on the road
PITTSBURGH - Guardian Protection Services has transformed the look of its van fleet to incorporate images pertaining to the company’s different service sectors to increase brand recognition.

The company has fitted 67 of its vans with images for new construction, home security and commercial security, by using a thermal resin printing process, which burns the ink onto vinyl. The images are then applied to each van.

Bill Graham, senior vice president of sales and marketing at the company, said in a prepared statement that the new vans are miniature billboards for each sector of Guardian’s business and convey what it can do for its customers.
Safe Home handles community complaint
EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. - Safe Home Security’s sales solicitations ended with the police involved when residents complained that a company representative was asking for social security numbers.

Residents had complained to police that a man who identified himself as a Safe Home employee asked for social security numbers and bank account numbers in a door-to-door sales pitch, reported the Times Leader. Police were then informed by a company sales representative that the company was not soliciting in that area. But the information provided by the agent was incorrect and the employee and sales were valid.

Company president Dave Roman told the paper the company does ask for this information from potential customers and that the incident has been cleared with authorities.
