VTI Security taps Asp as president BURNSVILLE, Minn. - VTI Security Integrators has promoted long-time employee Thomas Asp to the position of president. Asp has worked for VTI for 17 years, most recently serving as executive vice president and chief operating officer. He began his career with the company in sales management. In the new role, Asp will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the 100-employee company. The company has an office here and one in Colorado. PSA Security’s vendor list grows DENVER - PSA Security Network, a buying cooperative of systems integrators, has added March Networks to its list of vendors. Under the agreement, March Networks’ entire line of network video systems will be available to PSA’s 125 member companies. These integrators will be able to sell, install and support March Networks’ Linux-based family of DVRs. To get PSA members up to speed on March Networks products, qualified integrators will be offered training courses throughout the year. The first seminar on the company’s products was scheduled to take place at PSA’s annual conference in mid-March, which has aligned with the NSCA Systems Integration Expo. ISR part of NASA project team CHANTILLY, Va. - ISR Solutions has been chosen to provide systems integration expertise on a project to help provide 90,000 National Aeronautics and Space Administration employees with smart cards. ISR Solutions is one of five companies working on the project, which is expected to cost $10 million over the next two years. ActivCard, a smart card software provider; MAXIMUS, a government services company providing program management; consulting firm Risk Management Associates and EDS are also part of the project. MAXIMUS will be lead the effort for a centralized card management system that will issue NASA credentials, interface with physical access control systems and manage access to networks. The system will be piloted at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., before being rolled out at other NASA facilities.
