Bringing it back on home Sonitrol repurchases Long Island franchise

BERWYN, Penn. - In late December, Sonitrol Corp. purchased a Long Island, N.Y., Sonitrol Security dealership - the second such transaction the company has announced in one month.
The dealership, purchased from Asgard Industries, Inc., provides security services to Nassau and Suffolk counties on Long Island and borders existing Sonitrol branches in northern New Jersey, metro New York and Connecticut.
At the end of November, Sonitrol completed the purchase of a San Bernadino, Calif. dealership from Protection Service Industries. The deal increased the company’s reach throughout southern California and allowed it to align with the company’s other area dealerships.
On the Long Island buy, Nancy Scheuerman, director of marketing at Sonitrol, said the reason for the purchase was the same - an opportunity to increase its customer base in a region contiguous with other Sonitrol branches.
The dealership’s monitored accounts will be transferred to the company’s monitoring station in Baltimore. Mike Marzarella will oversee sales and operations for this region.
