Bryan, Texas imposes mandatory alarm permits

BRYAN, Texas--A Nov. 9 story on KBTX.com reports the Bryan Police Department is asking home and business owners to register their burglar alarms.
The required three-year permit costs $75.00 and is applicable to both residential and commercial systems. Bryan Police officers respond to every alarm call, most of which are false. Alarm system owners get five false alarm calls before the city charges $50.00.
