LONG GROVE, Ill.--Central Electronic Security, an alarm company based here, increased its Chicago-area footprint with the acquisition of ABC Security. Ron Davis, managing partner of Davis Marketing Group, which is also known as GraybeardsRus, announced the acquisition on Jan. 16. Davis assisted with the transaction, the third it has brokered with CES in the past year. Terms of the deal were not released. CES is owned by David Balestrery, who has a background in the financial side of the security industry. He acquired CES in 2004. The former owner of ABC Security, Jerry Robinson, will become chief operating officer of CES and is a "significant shareholder in the company," according to a prepared statement. This is the third transaction that GraybeardsRus put together with CES this year. Ther other two were LV Systems and Metronet.
