Chicago judges secure homes Brief

CHICAGO--Of the $12 million appropriated by Congress last year to provide home security systems for federal judges, 10 percent of the funds came to Chicago, the Chicago Tribune reported. The funds were appropriated after U.S. District Judge Joan Lefkow's husband and mother were murdered (see story in the April issue of Security Systems News). ADT received the contract to install and monitor the security systems which have been offered to all 2,200 federal judges across the country.
