CNL appoints U.S.-based chairman

WOKING, UK—CNL on Aug. 10 announced the appointment of Graham Wallis to the role of chairman, effective immediately.

Wallis is an industry veteran and a prominent member of the security industry for the last twenty years.

Wallis has been active across a broad spectrum of senior management roles in the U.S.; notably as president of Dedicated Micros and Javelin Systems, a subsidiary of the Ademco Pittway Corporation, as well as strategic advisor to several company boards. He has been an active player in driving the security industry forward.

Wallis commented, “I have been involved with CNL for several years now, but more recently, having been party to the company's expansion planning, mainly here in the U.S. The company requires a Board of Advisors with experience of the U.S. market and rapid growth and we are in the process of creating a dynamic board with my appointment being the first of many.”

The company recently announced entry into the North American markets with the appointment of Matt Kushner as president and has committed to major expansion via its system integrator channel partners. CEO Keith Bloodworth said, “The timing of a U.S.-based chairman is exactly right with many of our large new projects being in the U.S. Graham is an excellent choice as chairman, bringing a wealth of experience and industry contacts to the table, as well as responsibility for the high level activities of the company and interfacing to the financial communities and U.S. investors. This move reinforces the strategic direction of CNL and underscores our commitment to the U.S. market.”
