Colby takes over president post

SILVER SPRING, Md. - The National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association’s newly elected president took office July 1, with Scot Colby replacing Cecil Hogan in this position. Colby has been active with the NBFAA since 1996. In 2001, he won the Sara E. Jackson Memorial Award for outstanding leadership as a committee chair. He joined the association’s executive committee in 2002. Hogan served as president of the NBFAA since 2002. Under his leadership, Hogan was instrumental in launching the Security America Risk Retention Group, an insurance company for members of the association. Colby was elected to the vice president/president-elect position in 2003.
