Concord Fire given Life Safety award Brief

CONCORD, N.H.--The Concord Fire Department received a Life Safety Achievement Award for 2004 in late October from the Residential Fire Safety Institute. Announced by RFSI Director Roy I. Marshall, the award recognizes fire departments' prevention efforts. A total of 792 fire departments in the United States, Canada, Iceland, Italy and Greece received awards this year. RFSI, a public interest group dedicated to reducing residential fire deaths and injuries, advocates the use of fire suppression equipment and carbon monoxide detectors and for public education.
