Contigo to provide mobile monitoring for private security officers

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--Contigo, a provider of location-based services using wireless and GPS technology, announced on Dec. 3 that it will provide mobile monitoring services to Orion Security Services, a coordinator of off-duty police and federal officers for private security needs.
Contigo, formerly Guardian Mobile Monitoring Systems, will provide Orion with GPS-based mobile monitoring services for its security staff. "GPS-based mobile monitoring for personnel protection is an emerging high-growth segment," said Bill Schmitt, chief executive officer for Orion, in a prepared statement. "Contigo's GPS-based security solutions will allow us to provide our clients with additional protection and peace of mind."
