Controlled Access wins toll road security contract

SAN DIEGO - Controlled Access LLC has won a contract to provide access control and video surveillance for a major new San Diego toll road; California State Route 125 which is under construction. Scheduled to open in the fall of 2006, the 9.5-mile toll road will create an eastern leg of the San Diego beltway. Controlled Access will supply access control and video solutions for the new highway’s operations center, as well as the plazas, booths and cash machines located at each of the interchanges on the toll road. Its digital video surveillance system will allow the toll road’s operation staff to monitor toll plaza and ramp activity in real time, as well as provide for digital storage of images. Controlled Access, headquartered in Maple Shade, N.J., is also providing an access control system to control entry to sensitive areas. The product manufacturer is working with InTranS Group, the lead contractor, on the project.
