Convergint makes fourth buy of year Acquisition of SigNet expands company’s capabilities in government sector

SCHAUMBURG, Ill.—Convergint Technologies, a global systems integration company with headquarters here, announced on July 5 the acquisition of SigNet Technologies—the company's fourth buy this year and 11th acquisition since January 2016.

“We do quite a bit of work across all facets of government, including federal, state, local and municipal, and SigNet actually brings a particular strength on the federal program side, so by combining our resources we see accelerated growth for both sides of the acquisition,” Dan Moceri, executive chairman and co-founder of Convergint Technologies, told Security Systems News, noting that Convergint can provide the needed resources and geographic coverage “to support the growth of their business.”

Convergint is picking up SigNet's two offices, one in Maryland and one in North Carolina, and the entire SigNet team of about 90 is joining Convergint. Led by Bill Keller and Bill Burgess, Moceri said that SigNet offers Convergint an excellent record of past performance spanning federal, state, and commercial markets, providing specialized knowledge and experience in executing demanding government programs, significantly adding to Convergint's rapidly expanding government capabilities.

“We look forward to all of the SigNet colleagues bringing their expertise to Convergint,” said Moceri. ”Bill Keller will lead the combined SigNet and Convergint government teams, and Bill Burgess will continue to help grow and expand our presence in the federal and state markets. Both are excited to work closely with the Convergint government team.”

He pointed out that he is excited to build on Convergint's business in the government sector, which has been steadily growing over the past five years, now exceeding $100 million across the United States and Canada.

“Convergint's meteoric growth and success is no accident. In a relatively short period of time, it has become of one of the most successful and reputable companies in our industry,” Bill Keller, president of SigNet Technologies, said in the announcement. “Convergint is a perfect fit for SigNet because we share a similar culture and core values: we care deeply about all of our colleagues, and we are committed to being our customers' best service provider. The result of joining forces will include expanding our reach, merging complementary expertise, and offering a broader suite of innovative solutions for our valued customers.”
