GREENVILLE, Miss. - Counterforce has acquired approximately 800 accounts from Alarm-Tel, a residential and commercial security company here.
This is the third recent acquisition for Counterforce, a subsidiary of Chubb. The company acquired the assets of Houston-based Ascot Alarm and Acceptance Alarm of Detroit earlier this year.
Alarm-Tel President Kenneth Page, who plans on leaving the security industry, will retain an interest in the company during the transfer of accounts.
In a prepared statement, Bob Breen, acquisitions executive for Chubb, said the company is always interested in adding quality business to its portfolio.
The details of the transaction, which was handled by Davis Marketing Group, were not released.
