LONGWOOD, Fla.-- Tony Wilson was named president of the recently combined Criticom and CMS on June 1. The combined company will soon operate under one name, Criticom Monitoring Services. Wilson has been president of CMS here in Longwood since 1991, where the headquarters for the newly merged entity will also be based.
In the merger agreement between Protection One and IASG, finalized this year on April 2, it was announced that Criticom International, the country's largest wholesale monitoring provider, and CMS, P1's wholesale alarm monitoring provider, would be merging operations.
"The combined company will have an unmatched network of monitoring centers, which will ultimately be connected and provide redundancies for subscribers," Wilson said in a provided release. "We believe Criticom Monitoring Services has a tremendous opportunity to set new standards in the industry, continue investing in enhancements to its infrastructure, and to create new programs and alliances that benefit all of its independent dealers."
According to the Criticom Monitoring Services web site, the company anticipates "very few immediate changes in the monitoring service customer will receive," and dealers will be informed of any changes ahead of time. In addition, there will be a "continuing migration to MASterMind started by Criticom."
