Emerson tapped for advisory role Brief

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa--MTC Systems chief executive Nancy Emerson has joined the newly formed Iowa Fire Extinguishing Systems Contractors and Alarm Systems Advisory Board. In this role, Emerson will assist in drafting rules regarding how alarm contactors and installers will be certified in this state.
Emerson is also president of the National Systems Contractors Association. MTC Systems specializes in voice and data products and Emerson has expertise with nurse call systems.
The post is appointed by Gene Meyer, commissioner of the Iowa Public Safety Department. The appointment was announced Aug. 31.
