LONG GROVE, Ill.--Marking its first Michigan acquisition, F.E. Moran acquired Grosse Pointe Alarms in mid-April. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Grosse Pointe has more than 6,600 accounts and 28 employees. All employees will remain with the company. Former owners Tom Stong and Bob Barnes are retiring. It is anticipated that general manager, Don Guinn and Mike Stong, son of founder Tom Stong, will also remain with the company, according to a statement. F.E. Moran has signed a lease for the company to remain in its present facility. In business for 25 years, Grosse Pointe Alarms has 20 percent commercial business and 80 percent residential.
