First Capital inks new licensing pact

HOUSTON - First Capital International, a Houston-based technology company, has found a new distributor for their VIP home automation system. On Dec. 20, First Capital International reached a distribution agreement with Home Controls Inc., a San Diego-based home automation and network equipment supplier. The agreement calls for Home Controls to market First Capital International’s VIP home automation system. “We are very happy to market the VIP Systems throughout our marketing channels,” said Kenneth Kerr, president of Home Controls. The VIP system is a fully home-managed device which is installed in the interior walls of a home and comes with a 15-inch or 17 inch LCD touch-screen. The system allows the homeowner to have full interactive Internet access applications, as well as maintain full control over their home from any remote location over the Internet. It also offers full video telephone feature for easy communications from anywhere in the world. First Capital debuted the VIP system earlier this year and it was featured as the main home automation control unit at the Bob Vila’s dotCom dream home project in April. First Capital officials said they were pleased with the agreement. “We are very excited to be able to offer our top-of-the line VIP Systems products through such a premier U.S. home automation distribution network,” First Capital Vice President of Marketing Blake Brooks said.
