G4S releases RISK360 'incident and case management' software

G4S releases RISK360 'incident and case management' software Cloud-based SaaS solution said to simplify risk for security professionals

PHILADELPHIA—G4S Secure Solutions on Sept. 11 announced the release of a new incident and case management software, called RISK360, designed to help security directors analyze risk and better allocate resources.

Drew Levine, president of G4S Secure Solutions North America, said the software complements other physical security systems and “can reduce guard spend” by giving security professionals a systematic way to see disparate data from multiple locations.

The cloud-based SaaS solution was designed in cooperation with G4S customers, including Bill Strother, director of corporate security for Weingarten Realty, which owns more than 350 shopping centers in 22 states.

Information continually collected from guards is rolled up into reports. That data can show whether a certain kind of incident is stand-alone or if there's a pattern. It can aid in regulatory compliance, employee training and determining where to post guards and install cameras, said G4S CTO Brian McCabe.

Importantly, it can also shed light on “incomplete events,” Strother said. These are security events that aren't classified as an “incident” but are nonetheless important if they occur repeatedly, he said.

Development began on the software six years ago. A beta version was released in November 2011 and the product is now available through G4S Secure Solutions, which does the customer setup and support to help customize the fields to meet specific needs. However, customers do not necessarily need to have G4S guards to purchase and use the RISK360 product.
