Hikvision spins off division in Canada
CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif.—Hikvision has established Hikvision Canada to focus on the video surveillance market in Canada. It plans to add additional regional managers, field engineers and a bilingual French-English technical support staff based in Montreal.
The move represents the video surveillance supplier’s commitment to the Canadian market and speaks to its rapid growth in Canada, North America and across the globe, Hikvision said in a prepared statement.
Hikvision USA Inc., established in 2007, began Canadian operations in 2011. Since then, Hikvision has seen a tremendous increase in revenue in Canada, and the Canadian team has experienced significant expansion, according to the company.
Canadian markets where Hikvision has found growth include education and retail and property management. Finance, transportation and municipal markets in Canada are on the rise, too, the company said.
“Our team in Canada is firmly committed to creating relationships with distributors, dealers and A&E firms, providing localized service to help Canadian businesses succeed,” Jeffrey He, president of Hikvision USA Inc. and Hikvision Canada Inc., said in the prepared statement.
