Inovonics on March 10 announced Michael Slack as the new VP of technology and business development. “The position is designed to bridge a CTO-like function with a practical product development strategy component,” said Mark Jarman, president of Inovonics. “We have a need for a technologist that is un-tethered by departmental management responsibilities to look at the multiple convergence events that are occurring in fixed-base cell networks, satellite communications, radio frequency (RF) technology, microprocessor combinations, and each of these technologies' ultimate use of the Internet and local area networks. With Mike's experience, business background and technology background, he's a perfect fit.” Slack worked most recently for Bosch Security Systems, Inc. as the VP of product strategy, and, before that, was the director of engineering GE Security, Inc.
