Ion 24/7 Interactive Video Technologies introduces VP Elliott

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Ion 24/7, an innovative interactive video security company based in Birmingham, Alabama, on July 29 introduced Bill Elliott as vice president. Elliott, who brings over 30 years of experience in security management, will focus on building Ion’s remote video monitoring business and creating national business development initiatives.

Elliot will be based in Houston and will report to Richard Cruit, EVP of Ion 24/7. Elliott’s career in security and monitoring technology began after his 12-year service to the Houston Police Department. After serving as Lieutenant of Police, Elliott formed BEI and Interstar Systems, Inc. of Houston and served as President and CEO. The company served a customer base of over 150 new car dealerships, 450 retail stores, banks and fast food restaurants. Elliott also worked as VP and GM of Smart Interactive Systems in New York City, and later as senior director of business development for Iverify US, Inc. of Charlotte, North Carolina. Both companies are providers of remote, interactive audio and video monitoring. He most recently served as vice president of BRS Labs, Inc. of Houston, Texas, where he developed channel markets and designed and deployed cognitive video analytics software solutions for critical infrastructure sites throughout the Americas.
