GOLDEN, Colo.--Isonics Corp. announced in April the first commercial order for its EnviroSecure airborne chemical threat monitoring system (see the March issue of Security Systems News). Siemens Building Technologies will be installing the system as part of its security solution at the Washington, D.C.-based International Monetary Fund.
EnviroSecure employs "sniffer" technology to monitor air for all manner of airborne chemical and biological agents, and is integrated into the HVAC system for immediate shutdown upon detection. Until now, the system had only been ordered by government entities.
