JE Systems expands reach in O.K., A.K.

FORT SMITH, Ark.--Jimmy Eakle has come full circle.
JE Systems, a full service commercial integrator Eakle founded in 1994 that also does fire installation and inspection, in late 2004 purchased Clear Communications, the telecom company that gave Eakle his first job when he got out of the military.
"They'd been around since 1964," Eakle said of Clear Communications. "They had a strong computer-networking department," he continued, "which gave us a lot of resources on system integration. We can now sell a customer everything they need to run their day-to-day business, from fire to voice mail."
That purchase, along with the November 2005 acquisition of Electronic Systems Group, a commercial alarm company, has allowed JE Systems to open new offices recently in Little Rock and Springdale, Ark., and Oklahoma City, Okla.
Eakle said JE Systems would like to cultivate customers for whom he can provide more than just security: "It's a lot easier to retain customers when you're doing all their all their systems. It's all about service, service, service. That's the way you build a business."
"We're not complaining. It doesn't do any good."
