MILWAUKEE--Johnson Controls announced Aug. 21 that it had entered into a strategic alliance with Carter Brothers of Atlanta, a security and fire integrator and a minority business enterprise.
The alliance will make it easy for customers to meet their minority business enterprise participation goals and requirements. It also extends both companies' network of local branch offices.
"The alliance will help both Johnson Controls and Carter Brothers reach customers in new and creative ways," said Carolyn Woznicki, vice president, global purchasing and supply chain for Johnson Controls, in a prepared statement. "Carter Brothers has a great project management approach to commercial projects, strong local fire alarm presence, and solid construction management experience in multiple markets. Johnson Controls has a global network of branch offices, relationships in a variety of markets and deep enterprise technology expertise."
Johnson Controls and Carter Brothers will offer a fire and security service platform, MBE participation, major projects capabilities and a full slate of local services. Customers will benefit from a single, local point of contact, improved cost efficiencies and increased delivery capabilities.
