Ken Boyda joins VideoIQ Board Brief

BEDFORD, Mass.--VideoIQ, a video analytics maker recently spun off from GE Security (search "VideoIQ" at www.securitysystemsnews.com), announced in early June the appointment of Ken Boyda, former president and chief executive officer of GE Security, to its Board of Directors. Boyda came to GE when the company acquired Interlogix to form GE Security in 2002; he also led SLC Technologies and Sentrol over 15-year period. "As an independent company, with a top-notch executive leadership team and very knowledgable and experienced investors, I believe the timing is right for VideoIQ to step ahead by offering a much-needed value-based intelligent video solution that the security industry has sought since 9/11," Boyda said in a statement.
