Kratos partners with Operation Homefront

SAN DIEGO--Operation Homefront, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit organizations dedicated to supporting military families, announced in August that Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, a defense contractor which primarily supports U.S. Armed Forces through work with the Department of Defense, has officially partnered with Operation Homefront to help support military families through a variety of employee and community-based programs and events.
“We are extremely proud of this relationship as it directly benefits war fighters and their families, which is at the core of what Kratos is all about and the markets we serve,†said Eric DeMarco, president and CEO of Kratos, in a prepared statement. “And, with approximately 450 Kratos employees located in the San Diego area, a key area of military presence, we believe Kratos can make a significant contribution in the community.â€Â
San Diego is home to one of the largest military communities in the nation and the objective for Kratos was to partner with a charity whose mission supports their business values and beliefs. Kratos will launch this partnership by underwriting the title sponsorship of this year’s Freedom Walk in Balboa Park which takes place on September 11th. For this event and other holiday events later in the year, Kratos will provide financial assistance, employee volunteerism, and various in-kind services.
