Legal battle between IASG and KMG ends in settlement

GREENVILLE, S.C.--The legal battle between Integrated Alarm Services Group and the Few family's King Monitoring Group, now Legacy Security Services, is over. The feud, which began on July 26 over trademark infringement rights, has ended with an out-of-court settlement agreement, according to a Nov. 13 document filed by IASG. IASG filed a "stipulation of dismissal with prejudice" in South Carolina District Court, citing the parties had reached a settlement agreement out of court. Neither party was available for comment regarding the terms of the dismissal or the settlement agreement. Attorney Eric Pritchard, with Kleinbard Bell & Brecker, who is not involved with the case, said that "whatever issues involved with the suit have been resolved out of court ... and the plaintiff [IASG] is barred from filing such a suit again, either in this jurisdiction or in other jurisdictions."
