MAS, BroadWare partner for video

IRVINE, Calif.-A remote video provider and an automation software manufacturer have partnered to jointly develop an interface to integrate remote video into the central station software. The interface will allow central station operators to use MAS' MASterMind to view live and archived video from BroadWare's remote video server through any authorized workstation. After an alarm is triggered, an operator can verify video, conduct remote guard tours and schedule visitations. Both MAS and Cupertino, Calif.-based BroadWare share some common customers, said Steve Keefer, president and chief executive officer of MAS. Several of them had expressed interest in this type of addition to the MAS product, he said. "We are always looking to technology leaders, such as BroadWare, with which to partner," Keefer said. "These collaborative efforts serve to enhance the overall effectiveness of our products." The interactive interface will be available early next year.
