Master Halco jumps the fence with consolidation Brief

ORANGE, Calif.--Master Halco, a distributor and manufacturer of perimeter security and fencing, will consolidate and relocate the company's Baltimore and Scranton, Pa., manufacturing plants to one location in the manufacturing district of Scranton and build a regional distribution center for the East Coast. The move was announced during a press conference with Pa. Gov. Ed Rendell in February. The company was offered a $1.2 million assistance package through the state's Governor's Action Team and the Department of Community and Economic Development. The new location and expanded manufacturing operations will create new jobs. The 270,000-square-foot facility will open in April, while the distribution center is scheduled to service the region in the third quarter, said Greg Jendreas, Master Halco president and chief executive officer.
