Matrix Systems appoints Tsourides as CEO

MIAMISBURG, Ohio—Matrix Systems, an access control and security systems provider based here, has named Holly Tsourides its new CEO, according to a company statement.

“As our new CEO, Holly Tsourides is a significant addition to our executive leadership team,” James Young, president of Matrix Systems, said in the statement. “Holly has the vision and resources to direct our company as we continue to innovate from a technology perspective, refresh our go-to-market strategy and fine tune our overall positioning for even greater success in the future.”

Young, who has been at the helm at Matrix since 2003, will remain with the company in a business development and account penetration role, the statement noted.

Tsourides brings more than 15 years of management and sales experience at various technology companies. She comes to Matrix from VideoIQ, a video analytics company based in Bedford, Mass., where she served as chief sales and marketing office and oversaw a 700 percent growth in revenue. Prior to that, Tsourides served as president of The Stanley Works, a $90 million distribution business.

“The opportunity to join a world-class leadership team and a company with so many opportunities for growth was one that I couldn't refuse,” Tsourides said in the statement. “The security industry is changing all around us, and nimble companies such as Matrix Systems are well-positioned for an important role leading the industry into the future. I am proud to be a part of it.”
