McAleer leaves Per Mar for DMP

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.--Jeffrey McAleer has joined Digital Monitoring Products, a privately held manufacturing company specializing in networked intrusion, fire and access control systems, as vice president of sales, effective June 25. McAleer, formerly vice president of electronic security at Per Mar, brings a unique perspective to DMP as he moves from the integrator/dealer side of the industry to his current position in manufacturing and sales. "The experience I have gained as a dealer/installer has helped me understand what is important for dealers," he said. "I'm familiar with how products work and my focus now is on the end user. I know how important ease of installation, technology, reliability, and the quality of products are to dealers and installers." McAleer's prior experience at Per Mar has made him an integral part of DMP's leadership team. "As vice president of sales I'm a member of DMP's executive leadership team," he continued. "We meet on a regular basis and I see myself as a conduit between the industry and our customers, specifically dealers. I know the technology and how products need to be reengineered or utilized," he said. McAleer worked with DMP president Bill Jackson at Per Mar for seven years prior to his own move to DMP. "We have similar philosophies of putting customer service first and keeping existing customers happy," McAleer said. It seems like moving volume is the most important thing in many businesses, but we see things differently. It is important to keep our existing customers happy and take care of them first before building. It's attractive to work with someone who shares the same philosophies as you." As vice president of sales, McAleer oversees 14 sales personnel in five vertical markets doing business with about 900 to 1,000 dealers nationwide.
