Mountain Top Security moves to new offices Second move in three years for industry veteran, Roy Boothe, and his ‘latest venture’ in residential security

BECKLEY, W.Va.--A bustling business in Beckley has caused Mountain Top Security to move to larger offices for the second time in three years. According to a story in the Register Herald, Mountain Top moved to its new headquarters at 205 New River Drive here in August. Roy Boothe and his wife, Mary, founded the company in April of 2005, initially working out of their home. By June of 2005, the business had grown enough to necessitate moving to an office on North Eisenhower Drive here. Boothe does both residential and commercial security, as well as fire, CCTV and card access control systems. He is licensed to work in both West Virginia and Virginia. Boothe is not a newcomer to the industry. He previously owned a business in Roanoke, Va. According to the report, he sold that business and then started a new security company with his sons in Charleston, W.Va., called First Security. First Security is still in business; Mountain Top Security is Boothe’s “latest venture.” He also finds time to serve as a church pastor at Sharon Church of God in Kanawha County, the story said. “I’ve been a church pastor for over 36 years,” he is quoted as saying, “I have always wanted to help people. I feel like I also do that with my security business as well.”
