NAFED issues its top award

CHICAGO - Norb Makowka was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the National Association of Fire Equipment Distributors’ conference. The award is given to those who have made contributions to the association and industry.
Makowka recently updated the NFPA References to Portable Fire Extinguishers. He worked on a new certification program, a requirement in New Jersey for technicians servicing extinguishers or pre-engineered systems for kitchens. He is NAFED’s executive director of technical issues.
