NBFAA, AIREF to hold fund-raising golf tournament

January 20, 2005 LAS VEGAS—For the second year, the Alarm Industry Research & Educational Foundation and the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association will hold a golf tournament prior to the start of the ISC West Show to raise money for industry research. The event will be held Tuesday, April 5 at the Troons Revere Golf Club in Las Vegas. The tournament will be followed by an evening reception at the Tangerine Lounge & Nightclub at Treasure Island, where the Morris F. Weinstock Award and the Sara Jackson Award will be presented. Each award recognizes an individual within the security industry for their achievements. The cost to enter the tournament is $250, which includes greens fees, cart, lunch, transportation to and from the golf course and the evening event. To only attend the evening event, the cost is $100. Last year’s golf tournament, held at Revere Golf Club outside of Las Vegas, drew more than 100 participants, with more than 150 people attending the evening’s event. So far, major sponsors of this year’s golf tournament include Honeywell, Security Industry Association, Napco, ADI, ISC Expo, Altronix, Vector Security and Systems Sensor.
