NBFAA, Tri-Ed, The Summit Group offer business training this fall

IRVING, Texas--Distributor Tri-Ed has teamed with the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association and The Summit Group to offer comprehensive business training seminars in four markets this fall: Boston; Milford, Conn.; Garden Grove, Calif.; and Dallas.
Designed for owners, sales managers, customer service representatives and installers, the seminars will focus on "overall business strategy, selling, and how to make your business operation run better," said James Rothstein, senior vice president of Tri-Ed.
Participants will earn CEU credits through the NBFAA's National Training School for the one-day seminars, which are broken out into three modules: leadership training for owners and executive management; sales training for owners, sales and business development professionals; and customer service training for customer service representatives, installers and operations personnel. In addition, Tri-Ed will give special discounts on product purchases to dealers who attend the class.
NBFAA president George Gunning in a statement said the training "will deliver easy-to-implement solutions to help boost sales, improve customer service levels and make an impact to the participants' bottom line."
This is the first time Tri-Ed has partnered with the NBFAA on a training program. Tri-Ed was eager to do this, Rothstein said, because this training will have the endorsement of the NBFAA and be part of the NBFAA's NTS program.
This training differs from Tri-Ed's many other educational offerings because "in the past our training has been more technical, focusing on products, technology and installation where this focuses more on overall business strategy." While Rothstein considers technical training "extremely important," he believes business strategy education "is something the industry has been lacking."
The first seminar will take place in Sept. 17 in Tri-Ed's Boston-area office in Westwood, Mass., followed by: Milford, Conn., Sept. 19; Garden Grove, Calif., Oct. 2; and Dallas on Oct.16. All trainings will take place at Tri-Ed branches.
