NFPA to consolidate meetings in 2005

QUINCY, Mass. - In March, the board of directors of the National Fire Protection Association voted to consolidate the NFPA’s Fall Education Conference into its World Conference and Safety Exposition.
At present, the NFPA holds its annual meeting in May and its education conference in November.
The move, which will take effect next year, is intended to allow NFPA business to be conducted at one meeting.
The board also changed the annual meeting month from May to June. The reasoning for this move was to give the association more flexibility in choosing sites and provide more review time for codes and standards.
