Nice Systems consolidates security units

RA'ANANA, Israel-Nice Systems announced plans to consolidate all of its security-related activities into a newly-created Security Group under the leadership of Doron Eidelman, who joins Nice as executive vice president and president of the Security Group. The new group combines the digital video recording and threat analysis capabilities of the company's VIM Division with the government, military, and law enforcement communications intelligence experience of its ISS Division. The Security Group is expected to represent about 25 percent of Nice's total revenue this year. "We have concluded that this huge market opportunity is best served by combining our extensive security-related operations in order to fully exploit the synergies between them," said Haim Shani, president and chief executive officer of Nice Systems. "This new business structure will enable us to capitalize on our unique strengths," such as breadth of product line, integration experience and the company's global presence. The company will continue to sell its current product lines to the dealer network, but will also target large companies and major systems integrators through the newly formed security group.
