ALEXANDRIA, Va.--As it prepares to introduce a new certification in video systems design, the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies will allow approximately 100 industry professionals to take the examination for free during a beta trial.
NICET is evaluating the exam to see how test takers respond to the organization and presentation of the questions. The sample group will help determine what is a passing score on the test. The regular $180 fee typically charged for this type of test will be waived to qualifying applicants until the end of September.
NICET designed the video security systems designer level I course for those that design and install video security systems. Designers with less than four years of experience are encouraged to enroll for the pilot test.
