RIVERDALE, N.Y.—Nortronics Corporation, a technology integrator in the Tri-State area, is installing a comprehensive security and telephone access control system at Solaria Riverdale, a luxury condominium development in the prominent Riverdale section of the Bronx.
Highlighted by IP-network cameras and an OnSSI video management software system, the system is capable of integrating and marrying matching incidents between the cameras and access control readers, rendering the CCTV and access control system not only a security tool, but a management tool, as well.
The 13-camera system will also monitor key areas throughout the building, such as the children’s play area and residents’ lounge, and record people as they swipe their cards to enter these areas. Moreover, as a fully integrated system, it will record the matching access codes along with a video clip upon entry.
“The network is so versatile that it may even be programmed to include viewing from the residents’ offices,” said Maria Gonzalez, chief executive officer at Nortronics. “Parents, for example, will be able to watch their children in the building’s playroom from their workplace. Building management will be able to view the front desk, hallways, boiler room and other significant operational area from remote monitors as a further measure of security.
“The fact is, this developer [Arc Development] has chosen to provide residents with the very best and latest technology, and we applaud that kind of forward thinking.”
