NYMPC lands Elmhurst Hospital deal

FREEPORT, N.Y.—New York Merchants Protective Company announced Dec. 29 it won a contract to provide 24/7 fire alarm services and a full-time in-house technician for Elmhurst Hospital, a newly renovated hospital in Elmhurst. The NYMPC technician will be stationed at the hospital 40 hours a week and will be “a direct point of contact to building operations staff, health professionals and NYMPC’s monitoring station,” a company statement said. In a prepared statement, Eric Wahrsager, vice president of marketing and development at NYMPC said “by providing in-house services, we are introducing an unprecedented level of fire safety at Elmhurst Hospital Center.” For more on this story, see the February issue of Security Systems News.
